The first of many bagels, and so also one of the hardest to rate.
The Experience
Not a lot of seating but not a lot of reason to need it. The menu was filled with options, creating a moment of complete panic for a pair of Australians that have never eaten a bagel before.
The best part was the speed; the bagel was handed to us within five minutes of ordering.
The Bagel
We got the "Everything" bagel, which I presume means that it had a lot of seeds or something.
The bagel was nice and chewy (but not too chewy) but it felt like it could have been baked a little more. I don't know, this was my first bagel.
The Cheese
The cheese was GREAT. Turns out I love cream cheese which is a good thing because I've planned to eat a lot of it. The Scallion Cheese was recommended by Caprice, and she picked well.
The serving amount was decent and well applied too.
The Numbers
- Bagel: $7
- Wait time: <5 minutes
Overall
This was a good bagel; but I can't give it any higher than a B tier because:
- It was a really simple bagel, and I'm guessing that more fillings = more happiness (up to a point)
- This was the first bagel ive had, so I really don't know what a "fucking excellent" bagel would taste like.
Would definitely buy one again. This one feels like it's straddling the line right between upper C and lower B tier, but again, I actually don't really know bagels.
